Amateur Radio Classes
The St. Charles Amateur Radio Club sponsored Amateur Radio Technician License and Amateur General License Upgrade courses for Spring 2024 are planned as in-person classes at the community college. Technician class begins March 12th and for General upgrade March 13th, at the Saint Charles Community College, 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, Cottleville, MO 63376.

Technician License
Ham radio provides the broadest and most powerful wireless communications capability available. An entry-level ham radio license class that will give you the ability to communicate with other hams around the world using a variety of modes. General License Upgrade Class
The General Class license is the second of three US Amateur Radio licenses. To upgrade to General Class, you must already hold a Technician Class license (or have passed the Technician license exam within the past 365 days). Upgrading to a General license--which conveys extensive HF privileges—only requires passing a written examination; Morse Code no longer required. Once you do, the entire range of operating modes and the majority of the amateur spectrum below 30 MHz become available to you.
