Amateur Radio Classes

The St. Charles Amateur Radio Club sponsored Amateur Radio Technician License and Amateur ExtraLicense Upgrade for Amateur Radio Operators will be held Tuesday evenings, beginning mid-March 2022 with the exam in late May at the Saint Charles Community College. 

More details will be provided when courses are scheduled. 

Technician License

Ham radio provides the broadest and most powerful wireless communications capability available. An entry-level ham radio license class that will give you the ability to communicate with other hams around the world using a variety of modes. Amateur Extra Class License

Instruction will lead you through all of the knowledge you need to pass the exam: rules, specific operating skills and more advanced electronics theory. As an Amateur Extra Class license, you will have full privileges on all frequencies authorized by the FCC for Amateur Radio.

Monthly Examination Sessions

Sessions are held before club meetings at 6:00 pm on the 4th Monday of the month (except December) at the club meeting location.
